Job summary
Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine seeks a full-time geriatric psychiatrist or neuropsychiatrist (MD/DO) to expand our Memory and Aging program. Fellowship in behavioral neurology/neuropsychiatry or geriatric psychiatry preferred, with a track record in Alzheimer’s care.
The role includes teaching medical students and residents, plus active research collaborations with major institutions. Competitive base salary plus comprehensive benefits and sign-on options.
Qualifications
- Fellowship training in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry or geriatric psychiatry preferred.
- A record of excellence in diagnosing and treating Alzheimer’s and related disorders is valuable.
- Academic orientation with teaching and research experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Teach medical students, psychiatry residents, and family medicine residents.
- Engage in research collaborations with institutions such as Massachusetts General Hospital and University of Maine.
- Support the Memory and Aging program through clinical, educational, and scholarly activities.
