Job summary
Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine is seeking a full-time geriatric psychiatrist or neuropsychiatrist (MD/DO) to expand our Memory and Aging programs. This academically oriented outpatient setting includes Mood and Memory Clinic, neurocognitive research, and dementia training projects.
Fellowship training in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry or geriatric psychiatry is preferred. The role encompasses teaching, research collaborations with Mass General Hospital, The Jackson
Qualifications
- Fellowship training in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry or geriatric psychiatry is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment excellence in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders is desirable.
- Experience in academic outpatient memory programs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach medical students, psychiatry residents, and family medicine residents.
- Engage in clinical care, research collaborations, and educational activities within Northern Light Memory and Aging.
- Collaborate with researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital, The Jackson Laboratory, and University of Maine.
