Job summary

GuideStar Eldercare is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to deliver neurobehavioral health services to residents in long-term care facilities. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for elderly patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and related disorders.

You will evaluate patients, establish differential diagnoses, and coordinate care with facilities, PCPs, and families. A valid state license is required, and HSPP is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active state psychology license.
• Interest in geriatric neurobehavioral science.
• Desire to improve lives of patients with dementia and neurodegenerative disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation.
• Establish diagnoses (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, vascular).
• Provide cognitive assessments.
• Provide condition-specific therapy or insight-based therapy when indicated.
• Coordinate care plans with facilities, PCPs and colleagues, involving families as needed.
