Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI seeks a 1.0 FTE physician to provide medical leadership for geriatric inpatient and SNF services. You will lead consultations, coordinate with SNFs and hospital leaders, and drive quality and growth across the system.

You will participate in rounds, ethics discussions, and team huddles, guiding complex care plans and education for staff and trainees in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Completion of ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Fellowship in geriatric medicine or comparable pathway required.
• Board certification or eligibility in geriatrics preferred.
• Active or eligible for Michigan medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for inpatient and SNF geriatric services.
• Lead discussions with SNF facilities and hospital leaders on care & quality metrics.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and clinical ethics committee.
• Collaborate with teams to manage patient flow, cost, and access.

Education

MD or DO

Residency: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine

Board Certified/Eligible in Geriatric Medicine

Active Michigan medical licensure
