Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a part-time or full-time Medical Director to oversee admissions and collaborate with on-site Nurse Practitioners for skilled nursing residents in sub-acute and long-term care units. This on-site role emphasizes quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered primary care.

The candidate must hold an MD or DO, a U.S. residency, and a Medical Director certification or be willing to obtain one; licensure and DEA license are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician in the state of practice (Georgia)
• DEA/Controlled Substance license in the state of practice
• Completion of a U.S. residency program
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Certified Medical Director certification or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director or Attending Physician for skilled nursing facilities/rehabs and participate in administrative and quality initiatives
• Attend monthly QA/regulatory meetings and quarterly staff meetings
• Oversee clinical care plans and compliance with state/federal regulations; supervise facility staff
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to manage daily resident care across facilities
