Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Med-Tech to assist with medication administration under the supervision of LPN/RN. You will support licensed staff with daily living activities for residents in a caring, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include preparing and administering medications, checking doses, documenting in MAR, responding to call lights, and maintaining clean, safe living spaces while following all protocols.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required, able to follow instructions.
• Good communication with residents and team members.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and document care.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing and activities of daily living.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Responds to signal lights promptly and maintains room cleanliness.
• Safely prepares, administers and charts oral, topical and suppository drugs.
• Checks and documents each dose prior to administration; follows protocol.
• Records medication administration on MAR and reports discrepancies or reactions.
• Administers medication only with written physician's order and maintains controlled substances access.
