Job summary

Allied Services in Wilkes-Barre, PA seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to administer prescribed treatments, coordinate nursing care and monitor standards on the assigned unit.

The LPN must provide care for adult through geriatric residents, maintain a PA license, CPR certification, and required clearances. The incumbent participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of care under supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or must be obtained and maintained.
• Clearances: PA State Police criminal history check and PA Department of Aging FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Possession of a current LPN license issued by PA State Board or eligible for licensure.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Must maintain nursing care standards and Nursing Department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed treatments and coordinate nursing care on the unit.
• Monitor and ensure standards of nursing care.
• Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Supervision: Team Leader; reports to Nurse Aides.
• Provide care per Nursing Department policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents and visitors.
