Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
• Valid LPN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal every other year.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors’ orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
• Annual CPR certification and participation in required training and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall under supervision of a Registered Nurse, delegating duties and monitoring performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental conditions, to identify adverse changes.
• Notify physicians in emergencies and assist with implementing medical orders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure quality patient care.
