Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Maui seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care to residents at Hale Makua Health Services, a 90-bed facility in Wailuku. You will follow established policies and procedures and support a team focused on compassionate care.

The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, Hawaii LPN license, knowledge of medical terminology, and a preference for geriatric experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Hawaii LPN license.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards preferred.
• Current and valid TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the patient's diagnoses, limitations, expectations, plan of health, and current status.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Appraises the family, physician and others of changes/incidents.
• Collaborates with physicians, therapy services, consultants and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
