Job summary

Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, MI, seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to support activity programs for residents, document participation, and help with MDS and progress notes. You will assist in planning individualized activities aligned with residents’ interests while ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires high school completion, CPR/BLS credentials, and experience with geriatric populations; CNCA is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNCA preferred.
• Activity Assistant certification preferred.
• CPR certification required; BLS certification current.
• Two years of geriatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend Care plan meetings in absence of Life Enrichment Coordinator.
• Serve on Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committee.
• Attend mandatory in-services.
• Assess residents and formulate individualized plans with measurable objectives.
• Document MDS reports and progress notes.
• Assist with transportation for outings when weather permits.
• Maintain a neat, orderly office and work area.
• Uphold residents' rights, privacy, dignity, and choice.
