Job summary

Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Toledo is seeking a Contract Beautician to provide professional hair care and salon services for residents in a skilled nursing facility in Toledo, OH. Responsibilities include performing hair care within licensure, discussing service options with residents or representatives, and ensuring safety, infection prevention, and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Current, valid cosmetology or barber license appropriate to the services provided in the state where services are performed.
• Experience providing professional hair care for older adults or residents of healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of sanitation, equipment disinfection, and safe salon practices.
• Strong communication and recordkeeping skills; ability to coordinate with facility staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide haircuts, shampooing, styling, and other services within licensure.
• Discuss requested services, preferences, and prices with residents or representatives before service.
• Obtain appropriate authorization for services and charges.
• Respect residents’ right to choose, decline, or discontinue services.
• Adapt techniques and appointment length for residents with mobility or cognitive needs.
• Coordinate appointments with facility staff to minimize conflicts with meals and therapy.
• Provide bedside services when appropriate and approved.
