Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Expressive Arts Therapy or Creative Arts Therapy, or Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy- any modality.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in working with geriatric population.
• Demonstrates proficiency in group leadership and group dynamics.
• Fluency within various art modalities.
• Must demonstrate multicultural awareness and experience with geriatric population.
• Professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with good judgment and sense of humor.
• Superb organizational and analytical skills.
• Creative and proactive yet disciplined with multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Develop imaginative and varied therapeutic programs considering residents' preferences and strengths.
• Lead therapeutic programs for memory support residents.
• Initial and ongoing assessment of residents for group assignments.
• Coordinate and participate in 1:1 sessions with residents.
• Observe and report changes in health or mental status.
• Maintain supplies and coordinate entertainment within budget.
• Collaborate with Multigenerational team for various programs.
