Job summary

MedElite is seeking a skilled Echo Technician to perform echocardiograms in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will support accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population, traveling to sites as needed.

The role requires an RDCS certification or equivalent, an associate or bachelor’s in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and prior echocardiography experience. Join a mission-driven team focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• RDCS certification required.
• Prior experience performing echocardiograms.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by cardiology providers.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety throughout testing.
• Identify and document anatomical and functional cardiac findings.
• Accurately document procedures and upload studies to designated systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
• Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned.
