Job summary

MedElite seeks a skilled Echo Technician to perform echocardiograms in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, supporting accurate cardiac assessments for a geriatric population. The role emphasizes safe, compassionate care and precise imaging for diagnosis.

The ideal candidate holds an ARDS/echo credentials, has prior TTE experience, and is comfortable traveling to facilities nationwide as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • RDCS or equivalent certification required.
  • Prior experience performing echocardiograms required.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with the geriatric population.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by cardiology providers.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety throughout testing.
  • Identify and document anatomical and functional cardiac findings.
  • Accurately document procedures and upload studies to designated systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
  • Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure and function for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols
