Job summary

Pinnacle Health & Rehab in the United States seeks a dedicated Dietitian to provide patient-centered nutrition care in hospital and long-term care settings. You will assess nutritional needs, design individualized meal plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams to promote health and wellness.

The ideal candidate holds an RDN credential, a bachelor’s in dietetics or nutrition, and experience in geriatric nutrition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
• Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of geriatric nutrition, physiology, and dietary management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and dietary needs.
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans based on individual health conditions and goals.
• Provide health coaching to patients, guiding them towards healthier eating habits and lifestyle changes.
• Monitor and adjust dietary plans as necessary, especially for patients requiring tube feeding or specialized diets.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the nutritional needs of geriatric patients and those in long-term care facilities.
• Educate patients and their families about nutrition-related topics, including weight loss strategies and healthy eating practices.
• Supervise dietary staff as needed, ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards of care.
• Stay informed about the latest research in nutrition and physiology to provide evidence-based recommendations.
