Job summary

Wildwood Grove is seeking a Dietary Cook responsible for meal and snack preparation, adhering to resident diets, policies, and dietary guidelines. You will follow established menus, ensure on-time service, and maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to follow directions, and sensitivity to geriatric resident needs, plus completion of a state background check. On-call duties and standard kitchen responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to follow directions and perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to relate work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.
• Complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Ensure menus and alternates follow policies and procedures.
• Receive deliveries and check receipts against orders.
• Cook food to planned menus and ensure timely service.
• Prepare meals for therapeutic diets and special orders.
• Maintain sanitation and safety of equipment and work area.
• Assist with cleaning schedules and storage organization.
• Follow infection control procedures and universal precautions.
