Otterbein is seeking a Diet Technician to provide nutritional services in a resident-oriented elder care setting. You will serve an aging population with emphasis on autonomy and dignity, working within a self-directed care team.

The role requires an ADA-accredited Associate degree in Dietetic Technology and registration as a Dietetic Technician. Strong communication, literacy, and English fluency are essential. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, PTO, holidays and retirement matching.

Formación

• Interest in caring for the overall best interest of the elders and understanding the requirements of the position.
• Education: ADA-accredited Associate degree in Dietetic Technology.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietetic Technician.

Responsabilidades

• Orient our dietary services around the autonomy and dignity of our elders.
• Communicate a sense of caring, concern, and dignity for elders.
• Understand how to place dietary decision-making in the hands of the elders whenever possible and appropriate.
• Make prompt and accurate judgments with regard to elder care and emergencies.
• Work and communicate effectively as part of the self-directed work team.
• Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotional upset.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must be detailed oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.
• Must be able to use tools and equipment required
