Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to perform direct and indirect resident care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist adults and seniors with activities of daily living, provide personal care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in line with patient plans of care.

Responsibilities

• Makes care rounds and reports pertinent information as appropriate.
• Takes vitals and tube feeding.
• Provides personal care such as bathing, shampoo, nail care, mouth care, as directed by the patient's plan of care.
• Assists patient with self-care skills and maintains a neat, clean environment.
• Uses proper body mechanics and supports positioning, mobility, and comfort needs.
• Ensures resident equipment is accessible (call bell, water pitcher, assistive devices).
• Ensures activities and worksheets are completed as required.
• Stores equipment and supplies per policies.
• Reports complaints to charge nurse/ADON/DON/Administrator.
• Stores resident’s personal items properly.
• Assists with washing resident’s clothes.
• Runs errands to other departments as requested.
• May assist with housekeeping tasks.
