Job summary

The Town of Needham seeks a qualified Clinician to provide information and referral services, case management, and short-term counseling for older adults in Needham. This hourly position is budgeted for 30 hours per week.

Under supervision, the clinician will coordinate services, develop educational programming, assist in grants, and represent Aging Services on community groups. CORI/SORI checks apply; apply via [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, gerontology, or human services.
• 2–3 years of experience delivering clinical and social services.
• LCSW/LICSW/LMHC desirable but not required; supervision towards licensure available on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and referral services; assess and refer cases to community services; coordinate service-delivery programs.
• Provide short-term individual and group counseling/support programs.
• Assess and refer older adults to services; provide case management; services in person at the COA, in homes, or remotely as needed.
• Develop and facilitate educational and supportive programming on topics such as harassment, aging in place, and public benefits.
• Assist in grant writing and data collection/reporting related to Aging Services Social Work.
• Represent the division as a member and leader of community groups and committees.
• Conduct ongoing community outreach and focus groups to assess needs; maintain confidential records per regulations.
