Old Orchard Nursing and Respiratory Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team in Toledo, OH. The role involves preparing meals, desserts, and snacks per the posted menu while ensuring adherence to special diets and dietary concerns.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, an interest in geriatrics, and English language proficiency, with knowledge of dietary techniques. You will lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be interested in geriatrics, read/write/speak English.
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks per menu; follows special diets.
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, sanitized; may wash pots/pans.
• Maintains health code requirements for storage and temperatures; documents it.
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet portions.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment.
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
