Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Behavioral Health, Geriatric on the South Tucson campus. This role focuses on comprehensive nursing care for geriatric patients with psychiatric needs, including assessments, medications, daily living activities, safety, and patient education.

The position is in a Level 1 psychiatric setting, with a 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM day shift, potential weekend rotation, and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in clinical behavioral health settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Plan and initiate a care plan with input from patient and family.
• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate with the health care team.
• Document assessment, interventions and outcomes in the patient record.
• Promote evidence-based care and participate in quality improvement.
• Supervise and mentor other nursing staff as needed.
