Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe/West Monroe is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our team. We provide care for geriatric behavioral health patients in an 82-bed facility, with inpatient and outpatient services.

CNAs support daily living activities, monitor patient needs, and work closely with nurses, therapists, and other professionals to ensure compassionate care. You will help with ADLs, vital signs, mobility, and safety, while upholding patient dignity and confidentiality in a

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana CNA certification is required.
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, geriatrics, or hospital settings is preferred.
• You genuinely care about providing compassionate care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Obtain and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning and fall prevention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Monitor patient behaviors and communicate concerns to nursing and clinical staff.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and daily care routines as directed.
• Follow infection control procedures and hospital policies.
• Participate in crisis prevention and de-escalation as trained.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Work with the treatment team and other staff.
• Perform other CNA duties as assigned within scope.
