Job summary

Freedom BHU of Ville Platte in Ville Platte, LA is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with psychiatric care experience to join our team.

You will assist with ADLs, meals, hygiene, and patient safety, while documenting care in patient records and working under licensed professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for geriatric psychiatric patients strongly preferred.
• CNA Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Contribute to physical, psychological, emotional, and well-being of patients.
• Assist with ADLs, meals, hygiene, room cleanliness and other patient care activities.
• Monitor therapy groups under direct supervision of licensed professionals.
• Record and document patient data for records and charts.
• Perform routine patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Handle laundry and equipment cleaning as part of patient care.
• Promote patient safety and infection control.
