Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Legacy Pointe is seeking a compassionate contract Beautician to provide personal grooming services to residents, including haircuts, styling, coloring, manicures, pedicures, and shaving, within a respectful care environment.

You'll collaborate with nursing staff to integrate grooming into residents' care plans, maintain hygiene standards, document services, and deliver exceptional customer service while adapting to mobility or medical needs.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid cosmetology or beautician license as required by state regulations.
• Experience: Previous experience in a salon or similar setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy: Demonstrated compassion and sensitivity in working with elderly or frail individuals.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and assist residents with mobility.
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in delivering services and keeping records.

Responsibilities

• Personal Grooming Services: Provide beauty services including haircuts, styling, coloring, manicures, pedicures, and shaving tailored to residents.
• Hygiene and Safety: Maintain hygiene standards, sterilize equipment, and follow infection control protocols.
• Consultation and Personalization: Understand residents' grooming preferences and offer recommendations.
• Record Keeping: Document services and residents' preferences.
• Team Collaboration: Work with nursing staff to integrate grooming into care plans.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service and address concerns professionally.
• Facility Maintenance: Keep salon area clean and report maintenance needs.
