Job summary

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a professional hairdresser on a contracted, per-service basis to provide services to residents in a 120-bed facility. This is not an employee role; it is a service contract with flexible scheduling and no chair rental.

Ideal candidates will be compassionate, reliable, and experienced with seniors, with NYS Cosmetology licensure, liability coverage, and the ability to work weekends/holidays as needed. Start ASAP is available.

Qualifications

• Must possess current NYS licensure in Cosmetology, current and in good standing.
• Must possess General Liability Insurance.
• Worker's Compensation Insurance (if applicable).
• Experience with older adults or healthcare/long-term-care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide haircuts, styling, and shaves for residents.
• Perform washes, blow dries, color services and related grooming.
• Maintain a compassionate, respectful demeanor with seniors and staff.

We are seeking to contract an individual contractor or service provider to provide hairdressing services to our residents. This is a pay-per-service model. We are seeking a professional hairdresser to provide haircuts, styling, and shaves for both male and female residents at our skilled nursing facility. This is a contracted, per-service opportunity and is not an employee (W2) position. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and experienced in working with seniors. Requirements

• Must posses current NYS licensure in Cosmetology, current and in good standing.
• Must possess General Liability Insurance.
• Worker's Compensation Insurance (if applicable)
• Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare/long-term-care setting, preferred.
• Must show energy, enthusiasm, and creativity in working with residents.
• Previous experience with geriatric patients is a huge plus!
• Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all Facility staff
• Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped
• Possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to communicate well verbally with residents, families and Facility staff
• Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion
• Must be able to work some weekends and some holidays
