Job summary

Community LIFE is seeking a Therapeutic Activities Assistant in McKeesport, PA to support the planning, coordination and execution of therapeutic activities for older adults at our day center.

The role requires a Driver's license for occasional community travel. Hours are Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm. A High School diploma or GED is required, with willingness to continue learning. One year of experience with the frail or elderly and in providing therapeutic activities is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to work cooperatively with Activities Coordinator and Day Center staff.
• Willingness to use skills, talents, and creativity to enhance and advance activity programming format.
• Ability / knowledge to take on leadership role in the absence of Activities Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination and implementation of therapeutic activities for older adults.
• Collaborate with the Activities Coordinator and Day Center staff to run daily programs.
• Occasionally travel to participants' homes to conduct activities within the community.
