Pearl Healthcare is seeking an Activity Director to join our Belvidere team. You will lead activity programs, coordinate with staff, and engage residents in meaningful pursuits.

Qualifications

• Degree in recreational therapy and/or Activity Director Certification (required).
• At least three years experience in geriatrics, recreation or social administration.
• Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee activity/recreational programs to engage residents and maintain functioning.
• Coordinate activities involving community, staff, families, and patients.
• Prepare monthly calendar of programs and post in the facility.
• Encourage patient participation in group and individual activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with department documentation and budget guidance.
• Organize and supervise activity aides and volunteers; train staff.
• Lead Resident Council Meetings and act as resource for new residents.
