West Branch Geriatric Village Inc in Westland is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and psychosocial programs for residents. This position focuses on meeting the functional needs and interests of each resident.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferably a year of experience in healthcare. Responsibilities include implementing activities, assisting residents, and maintaining communication with families.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement activity programming as planned and assigned.
• Assist residents to and from activity programs.
• Maintain good rapport with family members.
• Provide input to the assessment and evaluation of resident's participation.
• Communicate resident's concerns to immediate supervisor.
• Support a resident’s individual needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
