Job summary

• Psychiatric or geriatric nursing experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to plan and supervise the nursing care delivered to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit per all standards governing our facility.

The RN maintains overall departmental operations in accordance with the facility’s mission and philosophy, participates in and maintains performance improvement activities to assure the highest standards of care, and provides an environment of patient focused care, training new staff and providing leadership to our nursing team. The RN staff nurse will assist in clinical supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Current RN license in the State of Georgia
• Current BLS required
