Job summary

Hospital Authority of Jenkins County is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the On Track Senior Behavioral Health Unit in Millen, GA. The LPN will collaborate with the RN to deliver nursing care to acutely ill adults and geriatric patients, aligning operations with the facility's mission and pursuing performance improvements.

The role reports to the Charge Nurse or Program Director and offers a full-time schedule with a $2,500 hiring bonus for new hires.

Qualifications

• Current LPN License in the state of Georgia.
• Two (2) or more years of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continual delivery of high-quality nursing care.
• Support and implement nursing practices that improve patient care and unit operations.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a healthy, collaborative team environment.
• Provide direct patient care, including supporting social and emotional needs.
• Assist with and oversee medication schedules as directed.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and condition.
• Support and mentor MHT and other clinical staff as needed.
• Work effectively in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move up to 50 pounds as required.

The LPN will plan and work with the RN to provide nursing care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in the On Track Senior Behavioral Health Unit, in accordance with all standards governing our facility. The LPN maintains overall departmental operations aligned with the facility's mission and vision, participates in performance improvement activities, and supports an environment focused on high quality, patient centered care.

This role works closely with the nursing team and reports to the Charge Nurse or Program Director.
