Job summary

Dandelion Energy is seeking an experienced Geothermal HVAC Service Manager in the Denver area. This hybrid, full-time role serves as the primary technical resource for Mountain West geothermal operations, coordinating with trade partners, builders, and internal teams to install, commission, and service systems to Dandelion standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC field service experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal).
• Proven ability to train and coach technicians across a range of experience levels.
• Strong electrical diagnostic skills, including service sizing, voltage, contactors, sequencers, and control wiring.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• HVAC technical support & field troubleshooting for Mountain West partners and internal teams.
• Diagnose full system components including heat pump, controls, fault codes, ground loop, and electrical.
• Differentiate geothermal-specific issues from conventional HVAC faults and document root cause.
• Support commissioning, startup verification, and quality inspections; catch installation issues early.
• Escalate genuine product issues to Engineering and OEM and drive to resolution.
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training to installers and technicians.
• Onboard new trade and builder partners and conduct ride-alongs for coaching.
• Build and maintain technical documentation like troubleshooting trees and service bulletins.
• Review warranty claims and communicate decisions with technical reasoning.
• Identify recurring warranty trends and drive corrective action via manuals and updates.
