Job summary

Dandelion Energy, based in Maryland, is seeking a Driller Helper to support vertical geothermal borehole drilling for single-family and multifamily projects across the state. You will gain hands-on training across drilling, trenching, and grouting tasks while working with a collaborative Field Ops team.

Position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt, requiring a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform sustained outdoor labor.
• Willingness to learn new technical skills.
• Strong work ethic and teamwork on site.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of an active field crew.
• Assist with loading/unloading drilling and trenching equipment and materials.
• Mix drilling mud and grout, and fill bores with grout.
• Support drilling and trenching procedures on the rig and learn from senior drillers.
• Dig trenches and support trenching operations, install HDPE piping, and restore landscapes.
• Drive company vehicles to and from job sites (valid license required).
• Maintain safe, clean work areas on job sites and drilling platforms.
• Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance.
• Learn to operate heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts, grout pumps) as you grow.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
