Job summary

Fervo Energy is offering a 12-week Drilling Intern role. You’ll own a defined project from day one and drive it with your manager, tackling problems that move the business forward alongside drilling engineers.

Qualifications

• Rising junior/senior, master's candidate or PhD candidate within the next year.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering (other core technical majors considered).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication, comfortable presenting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Comfort working with technical field data.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support well planning and offset well analysis.
• Help prepare and QC daily drilling reports.
• Track drilling performance metrics (ROP, cost per foot, days per well).
• Assist with vendor and rig-site coordination as needed.
• Support special projects for the Drilling engineering team.
