Job summary

Ilocatum in the Atlanta area is seeking a Geotechnical Superintendent to lead self-perform geotechnical crews on heavy civil foundations projects, including drilled shafts and earth retention. You will manage drill rigs, oversee safety, and coordinate with project teams on schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in geotechnical construction, proven crew leadership, and willingness to travel or relocate to the Atlanta region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in geotechnical construction, overseeing deep foundation work.
• Experience with drilled shafts, auger cast piles, micropiles and soil nails.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage crews, costs and schedules.
• Good written and verbal communication; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on geotechnical and deep foundation projects
• Lead drilled shaft, auger cast pile and earth retention crews
• Keep safety the top priority, working with the safety department and project management
• Plan means and methods for each geotechnical activity with the project team
• Manage drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete pumps, including proper use and maintenance
• Update project schedules and track field productivity
• Manage labor costs and keep the work on budget
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and self perform work
• Run quality control and field documentation on the job
