Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Geotechnical Superintendent for heavy civil foundations in the Tampa Bay area. The role involves running self-perform geotechnical crews on drilled shafts, auger cast piles, and earth retention projects with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and budget adherence.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in geotechnical construction and are based in the Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years geotechnical construction experience.
• Experience with drilled shafts, piles, wick drains.
• Ability to manage crews, cost and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on geotechnical projects.
• Lead drilled shaft and earth retention crews.
• Maintain safety as top priority with safety dept and PM.
• Plan means and methods for geotechnical activities with project team.
• Manage drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete equipment.
• Update schedules and track field productivity.
• Manage labor costs and budget.
• Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors; self-perform work.
• Run QA/QC and document field activity.
• Keep PM updated on job status; attend start/close meetings.
