Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Geotechnical Superintendent for heavy civil foundation work in the Tampa Bay area. You will oversee self-perform geotechnical crews on drilled shaft and deep foundation projects, coordinating drill rigs, grout plants, and shotcrete pumps while maintaining safety and schedule adherence.

You will lead crews, manage field productivity, control costs, and collaborate with project teams to plan methods and ensure quality control on complex foundation work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of geotechnical construction experience across drilled shafts, CFA auger cast piles, micropiles, wick drains and soil or rock nails.
• Knowledge of drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete pumps, their use and maintenance.
• Able to learn and apply geotechnical construction methods, specs and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage crews, cost and schedule in the field.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on geotechnical and deep foundation projects
• Lead drilled shaft, auger cast pile and earth retention crews
• Keep safety the top priority, working with the safety department and project management
• Plan means and methods for each geotechnical activity with the project team
• Manage drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete pumps, including proper use and maintenance
• Update project schedules and track field productivity
• Manage labor costs and keep the work on budget
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and self perform work
• Run quality control and field documentation on the job
• Keep project management updated on job status and take part in job start and job close meetings
