Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. is seeking a summer intern in Allentown, PA to perform geotechnical site research, field testing and inspection, soil laboratory testing, and assist with soil borings and test pit investigations. The position runs May/June through August with flexible hours, offering hands-on experience in our on-site lab and project work. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.

Responsibilities

• Geotechnical site research.
• Field construction phase testing and inspection.
• Soil laboratory testing and coordination.
• Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory.
• Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations.
