Job summary

MC Squared is seeking a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our Tampa, FL office. You will work with our Geotechnical Department, gaining exposure to field investigations, laboratory testing, and engineering analyses on infrastructure projects.

The role is ideal for recent civil engineering graduates or early-career engineers, offering hands-on training, mentorship, and a structured career path with opportunities to lead field programs and contribute to design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification preferred, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working both in an office environment and on active construction sites.
• Ability to commute to the Tampa office and travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute geotechnical project assignments including analysis, report preparation, field exploration, and laboratory services.
• Assist with geotechnical reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
• Prepare project field packets prior to field activities.
• Perform field and laboratory sampling and testing.
• Support projects during design and construction with observations and testing.
