Anchor QEA, Inc. is seeking a Staff 3 Professional (Engineering Discipline) in Seattle, WA with a hybrid schedule and up to 30% travel. The role focuses on geotechnical field investigations, lab testing plans, and analyses for upland and coastal projects.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with a geotechnical focus and at least five years of experience, and will lead field programs, perform analyses, prepare reports, and mentor junior staff while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 5 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience with upland and coastal project involvement.
• Oversight of geotechnical field investigations and lab testing plans.
• Proficiency with nearshore/offshore sediment analyses preferred.
• Strong technical writing for reports and design documents.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead geotechnical field investigations and lab plans.
• Support construction observation and monitor deep foundation work.
• Perform slope stability, settlement, seismic analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, specs, and RI/FS documents.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to BD efforts.
