Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking staff engineers to gain exposure to geotechnical investigations, materials testing programs, forensic assignments, and report writing under licensed professional engineers in Newark, NJ.

Responsibilities include planning drilling and field testing, reducing lab data, drafting geotechnical reports, and coordinating field crews. You will progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate or exam scheduled.
• Willing to work in the field on real projects.
• Clear technical writing skills.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
