Braun Intertec in La Crosse, WI is seeking a new or recent graduate to join our engineering team, with emphasis in geotechnical, materials testing, and inspections. You will perform field and lab tasks, assist in proposals, manage small projects, and help communicate with clients while you gain hands-on experience toward Professional Engineer licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical/materials emphasis or related field.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to perform field related services at least 50% of time during the program rotation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform various field and laboratory tests.
• Work independently on assignments of limited scope and with engineers on larger projects as a team member.
• Prepare proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects.
• Manage basic geotechnical and material testing projects.
• Maintain client communications and build client relations.
• Develop solutions, make recommendations, and prepare engineering reports for review.
• Observe construction and report to project or senior engineer.
• Gain experience toward Professional Engineer licensure.
