Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks an engineer to gain extensive exposure in geotechnical investigations, materials testing, and forensic assignments, under licensed engineers. You will draft reports and support licensure toward your PE.

Responsibilities include drilling oversight, data reduction, report writing, field coordination, and mentorship. A strong emphasis on precise documentation and adherence to standards is core to this role.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate or exam scheduled.
• Field-willing: able to work on real projects in varying conditions.
• Clear technical writing.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
