Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation in Fargo, ND is seeking a CMT/Geotechnical Staff Engineer to contribute to field and laboratory testing on diverse projects. You will work independently on defined tasks and collaborate with engineers on larger projects, developing reports and proposals. This role offers hands-on field work about half the time, opportunities for professional growth toward a PE license, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), PTO and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to perform field services at least 50% of the time.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform various field and laboratory tests.
• Work independently on specific assignments of limited scope and with engineers on larger projects as a team member.
• Prepare proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects.
• Manage basic geotechnical and material testing projects.
• Maintain client communications and build client relations.
• Develop solutions, make recommendations, and prepare engineering reports for review.
• Observe construction in progress and report to project engineer.
• Gain experience toward obtaining Professional Engineer license.
