Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Baton Rouge is seeking a Geotechnical Staff Project Manager I to support geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects through analysis, reporting, and coordination. This role is primarily office-based, with some field exposure for training, and involves assisting with project execution, budgeting, and documentation.

The candidate should have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil or Geology, strong communication and organizational skills, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Basic knowledge of geotechnical principles and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Supports preparation of geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
  • Manages CMT tasks, including daily report review and issue tracking.
  • Assists with project budgeting and prepares invoices.
  • Supports preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects.
  • Performs boring and test pit layout and site access evaluation.
  • Prepares drilling packages and obtains utility clearances.
  • Reviews field reports and supports project data documentation.
  • Communicates with project teams, contractors, and field personnel.
