Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in Morristown, NJ to lead geotechnical project assignments, including engineering analysis, investigations, and report preparation.

You will perform field exploration, laboratory testing, and foundation and slope stability analyses while coordinating with clients and design teams. A PE or PG in NJ is preferred, with 7–10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with Geotechnical specialty.
• Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in New Jersey or Professional Geologist (PG) in New Jersey preferred.
• 7–10+ years of relevant geotechnical experience.
• Experience with geotechnical design, calculations, proposals, geotechnical evaluations, recommendations and reports.
• Ability to interact with client and design team during design and construction phases of a project.
• Strong background in soil mechanics with extensive knowledge of geotechnical analysis and laboratory testing of soil.
• Extensive experience and understanding in geotechnical engineering recommendations and soil parameters for shallow/deep foundations, landslide remediation, pavements, site preparation and site mitigation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of geotechnical engineering software.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Peer review reports prepared by engineering staff.
• Regularly communicate with clients to ensure quality of work, address client concerns and expectations.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Personal vehicle required for travel to office and job sites (mileage compensation).
