Job summary

ECS Southwest, LLP is seeking a geotechnical/ CMT professional to prepare reports, manage projects and mentor field staff in our Carrollton office. The role involves technical analysis, budgeting, and client-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have a civil/geology background with a PE or PG preferred and a valid driver's license. Local Texas licensure and ability to work on ECS projects nationwide are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred; license in each state of work required to use title.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for ECS subsidiary work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations and meet project deadlines.
  • Manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects with daily report review, assist with issue resolution, and train field staff.
  • Prepare geotechnical and CMT proposals, manage project budgets, and prepare change orders and invoices.
  • Host or attend project meetings with clients to follow up on delivered reports and provide technical solutions.
  • Supervise field work and drilling/test pit crews; assist with rig access issues and mentoring.
  • Mentor and support Staff Project Managers, Assistant Staff Project Managers, and technicians.
