Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer in our Frederick, MD office. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of tunnel and trenchless project experience, with both design and construction roles, and strong technical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include producing technical deliverables, preparing plans and calculations, reporting, and collaborating with owners, contractors, and stakeholders to advance geotechnical design for tunnel projects.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of tunnel and trenchless project experience in planning, design, and construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, geological/geotechnical, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical deliverables according to client specifications.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical calculations.
• Prepare technical reports and geotechnical/GBR data reports.
• Communicate technical information in meetings with owners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop design parameters from geotechnical reports and project documents.
