Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Utah seeks a Geotechnical/Structural Engineer to support project feasibility, design reviews, and RAP designs. You will perform analyses, reviews, and deliver technical guidance across multiple teams to ensure safe and cost-effective solutions.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, 2+ years in geotechnical fields, and familiarity with AutoCAD and geotechnical software. PE is a plus; on-site role with growth opportunities and training.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in geotechnical/structural engineering.
Strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions.
Experience reading and interpreting project documents and drawings.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Knowledge of geotechnical software including SLIDE, SLOPE-W, Settle 3D.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Area Managers and engineers to provide project feasibility guidance.
Perform engineering analyses and design reviews.
Prepare engineering calculations and set engineering direction on projects.
Support RAP designs through slope stability analyses and related tasks.
Review RAP and other system designs and present technical findings.
