Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Texas Professional Engineer license required; if licensed out of state, TX license within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 4 years' experience managing medium-size engineering projects.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurability.
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to moderately complex geotechnical projects; serve as geotechnical engineer-of-record on simple projects.
• Oversee scope development, proposals, field exploration and laboratory testing programs, analyses, and reporting.
• Direct junior staff; assign tasks, monitor progress, and mentor engineers.
• Prepare proposals for simple to medium large geotechnical projects; estimate fees and schedules.
• Oversee field operations, logging, and coordination with subs; review laboratory data.
• Review lab results, develop recommendations, and prepare reports.
• Assist with invoicing and client follow-up; support business development and professional involvement.
• Adhere to safety policies and SOPs; participate in quality management practices.
• May require out-of-town travel to project locations and client sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
