Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. in Houston has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, interact with clients, and manage budgets, while coordinating field activities such as borings, test pits, trenches and cores.

Applicants must be a licensed PE with 4+ years in geotechnical consulting. Local Houston experience is preferred.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Local Houston experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects including client meetings and budgets.
• Coordinate field activities (borings, test pits, trenches, cores).
• Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards; perform foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses.
• Prepare geotechnical proposals and reports; provide technical support to staff.
